Fume Hoods (sometimes called a fume cupboard or fume closet) is a type of local ventilation device that is designed to limit exposure to hazardous or toxic fumes, vapors or dusts.
A typical fume hood is a cabinet with a movable front sash (window) made out of safety glass. A properly used and properly functioning fume hood exhausts hazardous gases, dusts, mists, and vapors from a confined location and helps protect workers from inhalation exposure.
Basic Laboratory Fume Hoods
These ventilation hoods are economical, with small footprints; available in 47″ and 70″ widths. They are ideal for tasks requiring a stable air velocity.
Fiberglass 30 Fume Hood
Compact 30-inch-wide fiberglass-lined hoods are easy to clean, light reflective and fire-resistant. The epoxy-coated steel exterior resists chemicals.
